Or Rappel-Kroyzer is a PhD candidate in American history at Tel Aviv University and is writing a dissertation on the Civil War memory in California. He is an interdisciplinary data scientist, and serves as the Chief Data Scientist of the Center for Interdisciplinary Data Research (CDIR) at the Hebrew University, where he supports data-based research from all fields of study at the university, from analyzing background music that aids memory to the expectations of residents of liberal cities from their municipality. As part of the Center for American Studies at Tel Aviv University, together with Prof. Udi Sommer from the Department of Political Science, he published several data-based articles in the field of the relationship between American politics and Covid-related behabior, polarization and the effect of legal rulings on political behavior.
