Dr. Yaffa Ben-Ami

Advisor of Intervention and Training Programs

 Yaffa graduated her master and doctoral degrees from Tel-Aviv University, the school of education, the department of policy and management in Education (2009)
Starting September 2013, She is Head of the Center for "Personal and Professional Development in Education and Society” in Tel-Aviv University, which plays a significant role, as an interface between the educational field and the academy, and provides important knowledge flow between them.  At the same time, she is managing a master's degree program in administration and leadership in education. 
From 1995 to 2004, Yaffa has taken part in the establishment and was principal of the Innovational-Experimental School "Cramim". "Cramim" School demonstrated innovation in education and instruction by developing and applying digital knowledge technologies. 
After 10 years, she joined Prof. David Chen's research group, which collaborated with the department of experimental schools in Israel’s Education Ministry, to research and identify unique working models to apply in experimental schools in Israel.
By that time, she managed the "Principals Training Programs" at the Center for Professional Development in Education, in Tel-Aviv University, and participated to the development of a pilot program for Integrating Training Principals in the "Administration and Leadership in Education" Master degree.
In 2007, she was appointed as an inspector in Israel’s Education Ministry. During this time, she worked with schools and local authorities in order to implement innovations and reforms. 
In 2010, she was appointed to be the superintendent in the Central District of Israel’s education Ministry. She took part in the district's decision-making processes, supervised inspectors and design strategies to various processes.
